While the UFA pool isn’t as deep as some years, intriguing names include the likes of Brooks Laich, Kevin Bieksa, Christian Ehrhoff and Michael Ryder.
"We’re going to be active on July 1st,” Burke vowed on Saturday. “We have to see who gets there first; some of these guys are going to sign. We make no secret about it. We have two drafts. One draft now and we have a draft on July 1st. We’ve been active each year and we intend to be again.”
Ilyen meg elérhető nincs most.
7/203
Max Everson
Defense – Edina High, (HS USA)
Born February 22, 1993 -- Edina, MN, USA
Height 6.00 -- Weight 184 Shoots L
Max Everson, D Edina H.S. (Minnesota)- He may not have slightly below average size at 6-0 and about 185 pounds, but Everson is a smart, instinctive, two-way defenseman. Nifty skater who isn't quite as explosive or dynamic as Sullivan but can bring the speed and carry the puck out on his own.
"He had a very good state tournament," Giese said. "He's very smart and poised; he moves the puck well and is one of those steady guys who makes the right decisions." He logged a lot of minutes and was a leader for Edina this season, a perennial contender in Minnesota H.S. competition. Interestingly enough, Everson is taking his game to Harvard next season instead of following the more traditional path of big ticket hockey schools in Minnesota, North Dakota or Wisconsin like many of his peers. Not a ton of upside with this kid, but is just one of those guys who has so many nice intangibles that he could eventually force an NHL team to give him a spot.
The senior defenseman, who was a candidate for the prestigious Mr. Hockey Award, finished the year with 4 goals, 25 points and a plus-5 rating in 28 games for the Hornets. Everson (6-1/5, 184), who served as team captain, will join his older brother, Marshall, at Harvard next fall.
"He's probably a third- or fourth-round player," Barzee said. "He's a good all-around player. While I don't see him being a power-play guy, I do see him as a top four defenseman at some point. He's got really good wheels, can skate and move the puck. His skill level is high and he'll perform well in college."
Dennis Robertson
Defense
Born May 24 1991 -- Fort St John, BC
Height 6.00 -- Weight 195 -- Shoots L
Eléggé rizikós pick, boom or bust, de inkább bust.
7/190
Garret Sparks, G
6'2, 200
Hi, Guelph Storm season ticket holder here who has watched a lot of Garrett Sparks this year. Sparks was at the bottom of the goalie depth chart in Guelph of three and moved into a solid second. He should have started some playoff games but the push to maximize around 10 last year players in the playoffs left Coach Scott Walker going with Brandon Foote all the way unsuccessfully in the first round against Saginaw.
The views on Sparks as set out above are accurate. What I can add is that he seems to still be developing and has the potential to be a real steal. The comments on his athleticism are bang on, and he does not appear to get down when he is scored on (unlike the Monster). He is a good stand up practitioner with a quick glove hand. I like his stature in the goal.
A decent pick in the seventh round.

Dear Maple Leafs, Thanks for turning my mom into a crying mess. And waking me up from my nap. But seriously, I don't mind. #bestdayever.

Biggs rendben.
David Broll - Forward - Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
Broll is a big bruiser who is definitely one of the most physical players available from the OHL. And while he might be best known from his brutal knockout at the hands of Justin Sefton this year, Broll is a solid power forward prospect. His skating improved a bit this year (although still needs work), and he might even be more effective cutting some of that 225lbs frame down. One criticism I've heard, and I've actually witnessed first hand, is that he can be too cute offensively. Not really something you hear about power forwards too often. But he can prone to overhandling the puck and spending too much time away from the net. He'd be better suited in simplifying his offensive game to the point of crashing the net and being that BBP (thanks Pierre McGuire) in front of the opposing goaltender. You don't like to stifle the offensive creativity of a forward, but I think he'd be better for it. There's also the mysterious one game team suspension he got towards the end of the season. Depending on the specifics of the event, that might scare NHL teams off. I really could see him going anywhere in the draft; from as high as the 2nd round (see Dalton Smith last year) to late rounds.

Tony Cameranesi, Wayzata (Minn.): The senior captain finished the year with 17 goals, 63 points and a plus-38 rating in 28 games, including 2 goals, 9 points and a plus-9 rating in three state sectional playoff contests for the Trojans. Cameranesi is headed for the University of Minnesota-Duluth in the fall.
The 5-9, 160-pounder is on this list for one reason and one only: his skating. He is perhaps the best skater in the entire draft with tremendous acceleration, speed and agility. He plays with a high energy level and never stops moving his feet. The explosive little waterbug is going to the University of Minnesota-Duluth and is a draft wildcard for sure, but is someone to watch as he matures and develops. If he can prove he has the sense to go with his wheels, he could get a shot in the big show eventually.

Sometimes overlooked when thrown in with Sweden's other impressive defenders, Nilsson can sometimes be the most dangerous weapon they have. Nilsson can flat out hit and he loves to do it. His physical play during the U18 tournament was impressive to say the least and changed the momentum in his team's favor on several occasions. A part from his deceivingly good physical play, Nilsson is fairly well rounded and can be counted on to do what is asked of him. His skating can still improve but overall Nilsson is a player who really thrust himself into the draft discussion with his end of year play.
Hard-hitting D-man with offensive upside.
:-DD
Joshua Leivo
Left Wing
Born May 26 1993 -- Innisfil, ONT
Height 6.02 -- Weight 180 -- Shoots R
Playoffban 8 meccsen 6+7...
Josh Leivo from September-December vs. Josh Leivo the second half of the season are about as much of polar opposites as you’ll find in any prospect in this draft. After barely establishing himself as an OHL caliber player during the first half of his rookie season, Leivo maintained a PPG pace throughout the second half and went on to become one of the biggest revelations during the OHL playoffs. He’s a big winger who has a good mind for the game and knows where to go on the ice. Has good anticipation and can play the PK as well. Could be a pretty big steal if he can continue to build on the latter part of his rookie season.
Más:
TORONTO - Rick Dudley is joining the Toronto Maple Leafs front office, the team announced by its Twitter account Friday.
Dudley had been the general manager of the Atlanta Thrashers for one year before the team was moved to Winnipeg this spring. The 62-year-old Toronto native was told three weeks ago that his services would not be needed in Manitoba by team owners True North Sports and Entertainment.
Kevin Cheveldayoff was chosen as the new GM of the Winnipeg Jets.
The Maple Leafs did not specify what Dudley's role or title will be.
Dudley had previously been a GM with the Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers and has also coached the Panthers and Buffalo Sabres
http://thehockeywriters.com/the-next-ones-stuart-percy-2011-nhl-draft-prospect-profile-the-hearty-stu/
Blacker
Gardiner
Percy
És szerencsére elég ügyesek. :)
• A unanimous choice as captain in 2010-11, Biggs had 28 points (17-11--28) in 48 games competing in the USHL for the U.S. Under-18 National Team Development Program.
• Biggs has represented the U.S. in two Under-18 World Championships, winning gold in 2010 and 2011 -- he scored the overtime goal, his second of the game, in the semifinal against Canada propelling the U.S. to the gold medal game in 2011. He also won gold at the 2009 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Timmins, Ontario, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Team Ontario in the final.
• His father, Don Biggs, was drafted in 1983 by Minnesota (156th overall) and in 1987 he played 11 games with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Biggs
Ross
Frattin
D'Amigo
Ryan
Ezek a srácok 2-3 év múlva elég félelmetesek lesznek..jól fogunk kinézni. :)
A mi vezetőségünk balfasz.
